Voicemail and eFax Instructions

Voicemail
- Initial Setup
- Dial your extension from your phone, I.E. if you
are extension 1000, dial 1000 from your phone. Depending on the make and model,
your phone may have a voicemail button. Follow the instructions to set up the
voicemail box.
- The second option is to dial *97 from any phone
and you will be asked to enter your voicemail box (extension) and then the pin.
This does not work on the initial setup if there is no default pin setup when
the account was created, call support for help.
- Check Voicemail
- Dial in to your voicemail box using the same
methods as above.
eFax
Sending eFaxes
- Only emails or domains on the authorized list
are allowed to send faxes from their email (This is setup through the Vinix
portal)
- The format to send a fax via email is faxnumber@realm (Realm will be given by your Vinix technician)
- The body and subject of the email is NOT part of
the fax I.E. no cover sheet
- Only one PDF is allowed to be attached. Multiple
files or other formats will fail
Receiving eFaxes
- Faxes will be sent to the emails on file at
setup. If more email addresses need to receive the inbound faxes let your Vinix
technician know and they will be added.
- Please check spam/clutter folder if you are not
receiving faxes in your inbox.
