BLF setup via GUI - Vinix Phones


Setting function keys on Vinix phones


  1. Get the ip address from the phone. Menu > Status > IPv4
  2. Open a web browser and enter the ip address. (the pc and phone MUST be on the same network)
  3. Enter the username and password
  1. User: Call support for user
  2. Password: Call support for password
  1. Select “Function Key” along the left side
  2. Along the top section you will use the “Function Key” and “Side Key” tabs
  1. Function Key tab shows the buttons along the bottom right of the phone
  2. Side Key shows the top keys on the left side of the screen (this you may not want to mess with unless you know what you are doing)
  1. The function keys have 12 or 6 buttons (depending on model) you can change, with multiple pages.
  2. DSS Key type
  1. Line – Makes the key available to make/receive calls (what you currently see on the Side Keys)
  2. Memory Key – Used to opensub-type of key
  1. Speed Dial – Used for one touch dialing of a number or extension
  2. Call Park – Used to park a call for others to pick-up. (all users must have the same parking spot on their device)
  3. BLF – Used to see other extensions status.
  1. BLF/BXFER – When pressed will transfer your call to that person as a blind transfer
  2. BLF/AXFER – When Pressed will call the person prior to you sending the call. Assisted/soft/warm transfer
  1. Name – The name to show on the button
  2. Value – Extensions, phone number or parking spot
  3. Line – Tells the device which account to make the call on
  1. Unless you have multiple accounts, (most do not), line 1 should always be used
